The New Building Society Limited (NBS) was incorporated in 1940 under the New Building Society Act and in the process took over the assets of its predecessor, the British Guiana Building Society. The Society has a long history of providing members with low-cost mortgages and high-interest saving accounts. The NBS has seven branches located in Georgetown, New Amsterdam, Rosignol, Rosehall, Corriverton, Mackenzie and Essequibo.
