HIHT is a member of the Hand-in-Hand Trust Group of Companies, which offer a diverse range of financial services from insurance to asset management, in Guyana.

HIHT has a long history of service in Guyana. In May 1971, the Guyana National Co-operative Bank established a Trust Department to carry out the Trust business of the Bank. This department was subsequently developed in 2004 into the Hand-in-Hand Trust Corporation Inc. when it was converted to a private company.
